Meet the Photographer
Hey, my name is samantha.
Through my background in communication, I take a photojournalistic approach to documenting events, moments, and relationships. My love for photography began on a study abroad trip when I was taking photos non-stop. Our university asked us to take over the social media pages, documenting our adventures to inspire other students. Looking through my camera roll at the end of the day, I could tell which images held emotion and stories. Some of them were touristy shots, the ones visitors are "supposed" to get, but others conveyed what I truly felt was worth remembering. These simple iPhone photos turned into a passion for storytelling through digital mediums.
My obsession with emotion in images evolved into photographing couples, families, small businesses, nonprofits, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and anyone else who had a story to share. My niche isn't an industry, it's people: creatives. storytellers. visionaries. empaths. dreamers. those who are passionate about life. those who want to make a difference. those who find beauty in the fleeting moments. those who want to remember the way they feel.

Photography is the preservation of moments in time, regardless of the occasion. Whether they be professional headshots, family portraits, pregnancy announcements, concert documentation, or even branding media, the here-and-now is memorialized by our media. My mission is to balance modern creative expression with timeless documentary storytelling to capture the moments that matter most, bridging the connection between your social media feed and your grandmother's photo album. I use minimal posing to create organic interactions and emotions, allowing the images to speak for themselves. Of course, we all want to look our best. But one day, our memories will stand invaluable. We won't critique ourselves for our fits-of-laughter faces... all we will see is the laughter. We won't judge the humble beginnings of a startup business... we will be honored at how far we have come. We won't regret taking "just one more photo" with those we love the most... we will just want one more photo with them.
